The Department of Sociology Unila Community Service in the Fisherman Village on Penang Island, Malaysia

Several Lecturers in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisip) University of Lampung (Unila), including the head of the sociology department, Dr Bartoven Vivit Nurdin, M.Sc. then the Secretary of the department, Damar Wibisono, S.Sos. , M.A, Head of the Sociology Laboratory for Community Empowerment and Local Wisdom Dewi Ayu Hidayati, S.Sos. , M.Si and other lecturers visited the fishing village of Penang Island, Malaysia, from 28 to November 29 2022. Penang Island itself is one of the villages that received the Unesco Heritage.

The implementation of this activity is a series of community services: Introducing Local Wisdom To Establish A Shared Collective Culture Of Melayu, Between Pinang Islan (Malaysia) And Lampung (Indonesia), carried out in collaboration between the Sociology Department of FISIP University of Lampung and Nusantara Malay Archipelago, CenPRIS, Malaysian Science University.
